Spinning on the River

... is a group of handspinners in the Memphis area. We welcome novices to experts, shepherds and shop owners, anyone with a love of fiber. Our members also knit, crochet, weave, quilt, tat, sew, smock, braid, and arrange their yarn in baskets. We learn, teach and spin together.

Meetings

Guild meetings are usually the 3rd Sunday every month from 1:30-5pm. Occasionally, meetings are rescheduled due to holidays.

We start gathering around 1:30. A short business meeting takes place around 2:00. Two members bring snacks each month. We have a show and tell with member's latest projects, interesting finds, and works-in progress. Spinning wheels and other items are brought along to work on during meetings. Programs last about an hour and we spend the rest of our time enjoying each other's company.

Location

Family Life building, St. Francis of Assisi Church
