Construction:  Make ~5" borders with ~3" joining strips.

Finished Size:  About 88" x 112" (Queen), allowing for ~10% drawn-in.

Suggestions for Assembling Coverlet

Squares may be of slightly different size. Adjust for size differences when assembling using the selvedges. Per Kaaren, joining selvedge to selvedge is preferred, usually using a quarter, 3/8 or 1/2 inch seam.

If you want to make it a King size - - consider making your block more than once, use different treadling, or make a different block. An overshot border is also something to consider (simple so it blends well with all the blocks), a wider border and joining strips, or fringe.
