Learn finishing and sewing techniques for handwovens while creating a custom a custom-fit unlined jacket. See the full class prospectus.

Class Fee: estimated at $150 + $25 materials fee.

Registration opens August 1, 2009 with a $75 deposit so weavers may begin working on their fabric. Tuition balance is due April 1, 2010. Materials fee is paid at the workshop.

Depending on availablilty, non-members are invited to attend the workshop for an additional $30. Registration opens to non-members on October 1, 2009 with a $105 deposit.

The jacket uses handwoven yardage 6 yds / 24" wide or 4 yds / 36" wide after washing. Participants who are unable to weave the yardage may substitute commercial fabric as described in the prospectus.

Equipment and supplies include a sewing machine, iron, and other sewing supplies. A loom is not required during class. If you do not have a working sewing machine, please contact MGHW and we will try to find a loaner for you.
